‘Land, Sea & Abstraction’ at the Cupola

‘Songs from the Sea’ mixed media 36x48cm

I’ve now got new dates for my show at the Cupola, it will be opening on Saturday 15th May and running till the 12th June. I’m so delighted to be showing here at this wonderful gallery. All but two paintings of this body of work have been produced over the last covid year, so much of it in lockdown and the work expresses a longing for places we’ve all been unable to visit for most of that time. The work is never a direct representation, but instead an emotional, feeling reaction of memories played out in paint and marks.

Solo show at the Cupola

Verdant Land iii 25x30cm oil & pencil

UPDATE Due to lockdown the show will be postponed, new dates to be confirmed.

I’m extremely pleased to share that I’ll be having a solo show at the Cupola Gallery, Sheffield in March/April 2021. I’ll be showing my latest series of land & seascapes many which have been produced during the Covid pandemic and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we won’t be in Lockdown 3!

Still-lifes at the McEwan Gallery

‘Flowers from Barra’ oil 50x50cm

I’m happy to be now showing a selection of my still-lifes at the McEwan Gallery in Aberdeenshire. The Gallery set in the beautiful Scottish highlands has a long history and is situated in the family’s artist-built Swiss-style home which gives customers a unique opportunity to see paintings in a home environment. Well worth a visit if you’re in the vicinity.
