Summer Exhibition at The McEwan Gallery

‘Birthday Flowers’ 71x101cm oil

I’m delighted to be showing three new larger works at The McEwan Gallery Summer Exhibition. The gallery which has a long history is located in the Scottish Highlands with an eclectic range of subjects from wildlife to portraits to landscapes to still-lifes. It is situated in the family’s artist-built Swiss-style home which gives a unique opportunity to see paintings in the relaxed atmosphere of a beautiful home environment, it’s most definitely worth a visit!

Cambridge Contemporary – Two Person Show

‘Early Spring Table’ 71x101cm oil

I’m thrilled to be taking part in a two person show alongside artist Emily Powell at the Cambridge Contemporary Gallery. The show will run from Sat 28th May till Sat 27th June. I’ll be showing around twenty of my still-lifes and seascapes. There will be a meet & greet the artist on Saturday 11th June 2-4pm so do come and say hello if you are nearby, it would be lovely to see you. This will be a colourful show to lift the spirits!

‘Land, Sea & Abstraction’ at the Cupola

‘Songs from the Sea’ mixed media 36x48cm

I’ve now got new dates for my show at the Cupola, it will be opening on Saturday 15th May and running till the 12th June. I’m so delighted to be showing here at this wonderful gallery. All but two paintings of this body of work have been produced over the last covid year, so much of it in lockdown and the work expresses a longing for places we’ve all been unable to visit for most of that time. The work is never a direct representation, but instead an emotional, feeling reaction of memories played out in paint and marks.

Solo show at the Cupola

Verdant Land iii 25x30cm oil & pencil

UPDATE Due to lockdown the show will be postponed, new dates to be confirmed.

I’m extremely pleased to share that I’ll be having a solo show at the Cupola Gallery, Sheffield in March/April 2021. I’ll be showing my latest series of land & seascapes many which have been produced during the Covid pandemic and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we won’t be in Lockdown 3!
